Landon and I arrived in Sacramento last Friday. He is doing really good adjusting to his new home. We were able to find a local doctor who was willing to donate his services. He has been tested for worms (very common) and is on medicine now. He has also been treated for scabies (also very common). Right now he is taking 4-6 medicines a day!!! An inhaler for wheezing, vermox for the worms, penicillin for his mouth infection and a multi-vitamin. As well as a decongestant and sometimes an antihistimine!! We've had to start a medicine chart just to keep track of everything.
On Wednesday he is scheduled to have the tooth and abscess removed as long as the cardiologist clears him for surgery tomorrow. The cardiologist will also be looking at Landon's latest echocardiogram to determine when he will need heart surgery.
It was very hard leaving Sutton behind. I know she is in good hands but it's still really hard every time I have to leave. We got an e-mail from our attorney in Haiti and she has an appointment tomorrow with the Haitian social services to try to find out how much longer it will be before we get out of IBESR. We are still waiting on Presidential approval so she may not be able to find out anything!! Please, pray we have presidential approval already!!!
Tomorrow is Carsen's birthday and Andrew is flying in to surprise her. He will also get to meet his brother for the first time!!! It should be a very busy weekend.
Thanks for the continued prayers. We feel so blessed to have our son home and continue to pray that Sutton will also be home soon.
