Moving!!! Well sort of.....

Jody got a call from the recruiter yesterday. The state department has decided to postpone the October training. It seems that so many of the current officers in Haiti have decided to re-new their contracts that there are only 3 positions open at this time. The state dept. figured out that it is not cost-effective to hold training for only 3 people.

The next training is scheduled for late January with deployment in early Feb. That training has 20-30 openings as well as the 3 not currently being filled. Jody was told that his chances of getting into that training are excellent.

So.... our plan right now is to postpone the move for the whole family until the end of Jan. The thought of us being separated for 4 months is not something we want to do nor do we feel that God is asking us to. No date for the move has been set yet but we are looking at the last week in January. As things get closer we will keep everyone posted.

We really appreciate all the prayers regarding this move. We asked that God reveal to us by Oct. 1st what we should do and once again, He answered. We know without a shadow of a doubt that God has plans for us in Haiti and we are content to wait on His perfect timing of when it will happen.

We are still waiting on the new owners of our house to realize they are the new owners! Please, pray they realize it soon! We would very much like to have the house sold before the new year!
