I only have a quick minute to update....

Please pray. We got a call today that the man who is helping us get Isaiah's passport wants the original receipt and the money for the passport tomorrow morning at 7 a.m. This usually means the passport is ready to be picked up...BUT could also mean there is a problem!!! Please pray that it is finished and ready to go.

We also THINK we have found a house!!! It is a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in the county on 3 acres. The property management company said that the owner should be willing to work with us on the deposit etc. He wants a good family that will care for the property. He lives out of the area and does not have time to hassle with "difficult" tenants. Please pray he will accept our application. The house sounds perfect for our family.

Other interesting news...

I've been hearing a lot about "fake" birth certificates and extraits lately. Jimmy went to get his passport and encountered the same problem. We knew his BC was issued direct at the BC office so how could it be "fake"?? After asking a ton of questions we finally found out that the BC's are not fake. The literal translation for the word they use is "fake" but it really means "no longer in use". The BC's are just old (as in more than 6 months). The government has put into place a new system to help prevent forgeries. The new BC's and extraits are typed not hand written and have 4-5 seperate "stamps/seals" on them. 2-3 of the the stamps are typical rubber stamps, one is a raised (embossed??) style and the last one is a water mark. No one (outside the government) was told about the water mark. JeanNathan saw it on several papers but thought it was simply a "mark made by water". It wasn't until he asked about it that he was told that it was an added security feature. Frustrating for those of you waiting but it's nice to know they are trying to improve the system.

Tomorrow is the last day of school for Shane, Dylan and Kynsley. It will be a hard day. None of them want to leave Haiti. They all love the school, have made friends and are doing really well. We know that God is in control and will be there to comfort them, but it's still going to be a tough day. Pray for God's protection over their hearts.
